Story Spinners

As the old man approached my friends and me, we took off on our bicycles as fast as we could. We went down the hill and over the ditch straight into our hiding place. I turned on the flashlight so we could see; our secret place was a cave. We pulled out our journals and started to write about the old scary man.
I said he looked like a fish with his big eyes. My friend thought he looked like a skinny version of Bigfoot. My sister said he was barefoot and his feet looked like he had been walking on hot lava. After a while we felt sorry for him so we stopped talking about him. We decided to leave the cave and go home.
When I got home the old man was there talking to my dad it sounded like gibberish, I couldn’t understand anything he was saying. Come to find out he wasn’t trying to hurt us he was just looking for his dog. If we wouldn’t have ran off like scary cats then we would have been able to help him; but my mom always said never talk to strangers!

The Designers

Coach Rhodes

I really don't have any big memories with Coach Rhodes because I just moved here, but him and my family are really close. They cookout together all the time, and they always hangout.

A letter to me

I am 18 and my birthday is September 20, 1991. I was born in Childress, Texas on a Thursday. My goal is to go to college for business administration to own my own clothing store. The things that are really important to me is to be a very successful young lady, make a lot of money, and be a home owner!

Mandy Tha Pandy

I saw a tree with red things hanging from them and they looked so delicious. So, I decided to run and hit the tree to make them fall. Well that didn't go to good. All the red things fell on my head. Then got up and started eating them. I think I ate about 100 of those red things cause as I got up to walk to the slidey thing I almost fell over. It felt so good to lay down. For the first time that slide was so comfy!

Fairy Tale

Once upon a time there was a grumpy old lady named Hretchen. She lived in a town called Happypalace. Hretchen dedicated her life to hurting peoples feelings. She hates living in Happypalace but she has no transportation and no were to go. Everybody in Happypalace is happpy until Hretchen comes around. Little kids run from her evil looking face and her evil laugh.
One day hretchen was walking to the market and she passed by some teenage boys. They were playing games on their phones, as she passed she knocked their phones out of their hands. They were angry with her. She walked away laughing. They ran home quickly to tell their parents, but of course they to are scared of grumpy old Hretchen. They told their children not to worry she is just a old lady and she cannot be held accountable for what she does. The boys went back to their hangout spot very disappointed. One night Gmoney (one of the boys) son of the greatest prankster of all time had a great idea. He called his friends Momoney and Hasmoney, and told them the great idea. Momoney is the son of a artist and Hasmoney parents are rich from get rich quick schemes.
One dark night while the moon was shining bright, the boys gathered their spray paint. As they walked nervously up the scary hill to Hretchens house they thought of what they would paint on her house. When they arrived they told each other their ideas. Gmoney said just spray colors all over the house, Hasmoney couldn't think of anything, and Momoney said they should paint a happy young lady sitting on a rainbow. They voted for Momoney's idea. In the morning when Hretchen woke up she saw the side of her house. She thought it was beautiful. A big rainbow, with a women in a pretty pink dress sitting on the top. It brought tears to her eyes. After that day hretchen was never mean to anyone again. She started baking cookies and cakes for the community.

Swine Flu

I think that the swine flu wouldn't spread so fast if the school wouldn't pressure kids to come to school with the semester test. If you are sick with the swine flu they shouldn't hold that against you at the end of the semester. The only reason why most kids come to school is so that they can have perfect attendance or get awards and t-shirts. Some people don't know that they have the flu because the symptoms are like a regular flu. Instead of pressuring kids to stay in school and get each other sick, should be pressured to stay home until they are well. If a child misses so many days and say they have the swine flu then they should bring a doctors note proofing that. People wonder why sometimes it gets so bad that schools have to shut down, its because the kids are pressured to going to school. If they can prove they had the flu with either a doctors note or their parent's bring a note to the school then the days they were absent shouldn't be counted against them when it comes time to give out the perfect attendance awards or doing semester test. If the school doesn't want to do that then raise the amount of day's the students can be absent. Another thing is the parents and their jobs. If either them or their child has the swine flu then they should be able to say home without losing their job. If you are sick then your sick the only thing you can do is go to the doctor but that's not a promise that you will be healed within a day.

Poetry

My first name is Naomi
I am quiet at times, loud when i need to be, crazy, fun, and i am totally awesome!
I really love my car, pizza with nacho cheese, and cheese curly fries.
I absolutely could not live without my grandma, my mom, dad, and my daughter.
I can't stand it when people drive really crazy and think its cool, and i can't stand it when the light turns green and the person in front of me is still sitting there.
I have seen dance flick which is a pretty funny movie, I've seen when a stranger calls its pretty scary, and I've seen Madea Goes to jail its hilarious.
I am terrified to be home alone, and I'm scared to be outside by myself after dark.
I like getting out of school early, my art class is pretty cool, Mrs. Vannoy, and Coach K are pretty cool.
I have been to Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico, I've been to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I've been to Six Flags over Texas.
I would like to visit Hawaii, the Bahamas, Italy, Germany, and Europe.
The goals I would like to achieve are starting my own clothing business, make a lot of money, remodel my grandmothers house, and build my dream home.
My last Name is Sims

Creatures in The 21st Century

The Wrath of Grendal
A big powerful creature lives down in the darkness, lays impatient as the days pass by. Day after day music rings in his ear from the hall as the ipod touch rejoices its songs. Hrothgars men lived happily in the hall till one day the monster stirred, Grendal, who haunted the moors, and the wild marshes with his dump truck and spinners. His home was in a hell, not hell but earth. All the people were terrified of his dump truck and spinners, if you looked at the spinners your eyes will melt because they are so shiny, but you cant stop yourself from looking at them once they have caught your eyes because they are so beautiful. Grendal went up to Herot, wondering what the warriors would do in that hall after they were done drinking and listening to the ipod touch. he found them sprawled in sleep, suspecting nothing, their dreams undisturbed. The monsters thoughts were as quick as his claws, he slipped through the door and there in the silence he snatched up thirty men, smashed them unknowing in their beds and ran out with their bodies back to his lair.

The Coming of Beowolf
The living sorrow of healfdanes son simmered, bitter and fresh, and no wisdom or strength could break it. In his far off home Beowolf, Haglac's follower and the strongest of the Geats, greater and stronger than anyone in the world, heard how Grendal filled nights with horror and quickly commanded Higlac bring him his Chrysler 300 with the flaming lights. If Beowolf turned his high beems on anything or anyone in his way will burst into flames and die instantly. His car could also drive thru water and go under water like a submarine. Beowolf decided that it would be faster if he drove thru the water instead of going around it. He decided to go to the famous kingand would drive across he sea to Hrothgar, now when help was needed. So, they sailed, set their chrysler out on the waves, and under the cliffs. Ready for whatever comes their way. They wound through the currents, the sea beating at the sand, and were borne in the lap of their ship, lined with gleaming armor. Finally they could see sparkling hills high and green. High on a wall a danish watcher patrolling along the cliffs saw the travelers crossing to the shore, their shields raised and shining. He came riding down, hrothgars lieutenant, spurring his horse, needing to know why they'd landed, these men in armor.
They marched, beowolf and his men and their guide, until they could see the gables of Herot, covered with hammered gold and glowing in the sun-that most famous of all dwellings, towering majestic.
Beowolf arose, he greeted the great dane's lord:
"Hail, Hrothgar! Higlac is m y cousin and my king; the days of m youth have been filled with glory. Now grendals name has echoed in our land: sailors have brought us stories of Herot, the best of all mead-halls, deserted and useless when the moon hangs in skies the sun had lit, ligh and life fleeing together. My people have said the wisest, most knowing and best of them, that my duty was to go to the Danes great king."
The Battle With Grendal
Grendal came hoping to kill anyone he could get to stare into his shining spinners. He used his onstar to show him the way to Herot. The hig hal rang, its roof boards swayed and the Danes shook with terror. As Grendal and Beowolf battled across them. Beowolf defeats Grandal after a long fight trying not to look at the spinners, Grendal left in pain and missing a arm. After ripping off his arm Beowolf hung it in the rafters.
The Monsters Lair
"i've heard people, peasants working in the fields have seen a pair of such fiends wandering in the moors and marshes, giant monsters living in those desert lands. Oour only help lies with you. Grendals mother is hidden in her terrible home. We will reward you for the battle you win"

The battle with grendals mother

She ripped and tore and clawed at Beowolf , bit holes in his helmet. Beowolf longed only for fame, leaped back into battle. He tossed his sword aside, angry; the steel-edged blade lay where he’d dropped it. He raised his arms and seized her by the shoulder; anger doubled his strength, he threw her to the floor. She fell, Grendals fierce mother and the Geats proud prince was ready to leap on her. But she d himThen he saw hanging on the wall a heavy sword, hammered by giants, strong and blessed with their magic, the best of all weapons but so massive that no ordinary man could lift, he cut thru her neck. Beowolf went to Grendal and pulled his arm off the replaced it in the hall.

The Last battle

the he said farewell to his followers, each in his turn, for the last time.

The Spoils

Beowolfs followers rode, mourning their beloved leader, crying that no better king had ever lived no prince so mild no man so open to his people so deserving of praise.

The Big Future

I plan to go to college for business, management and accounting. I want to own my own clothing store. Since I don't like being told what to do I decided at a young age that I would be the boss of my job. Once I get my business off the ground and start making good money, I plan to get my house built...I really don't have dream home so I'm still kind of putting the house together in my mind. First I plan to buy all the land surrounding my grandmothers house. Then I would remodel her house. Now for my house, main thing I want is a storm cellar because living in Childress you never know when a really bad storm will blow your house away, and for a roof I want metal just to be safe. I don't want glass windows because they can break, i want more like a plastic window but it looks like glass. I definitely want carpet because I HATE to sweep and mop (I'd rather pull out the vacuum and go). My house will have at least 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms because I have a really big family and i would like to have room for them whenever they come to visit (wow never thought of this till now...more cleaning for me). I want a really big kitchen big nice stove and oven for thanksgiving. I want my refrigerator built into my wall because when you have kids running around they don't pay attention. In my bathroom I want a jacuzzi tub in one corner and a stand up shower in another corner. I want a really big bathroom because when I'm in small bathrooms I feel crowded! Well thats a little about my future!

Who Packed Your Parachute

In life some people have lots of family to lean and depend on but others only have very few. When it comes to family the only people that I have are my grandma, my mom, and my dad. My family does their best at being there for me whenever I need them. I love my family, and I have a really big family but only few jump for me when I need them.
